Changing the 'Table name'

The 'Table name' is just some text that can be used to identify the table - it can be anything you like as long as it fits inside the table graphic. Note that no check is performed on the length so take care not to make table names too long if you edit them.

It is not the same thing as the 'ID' number but, by default, the system will allocate a 'Table name' that is just the 'ID' number with a '#' in front of it.

No duplication checking is performed on 'Table name' so it is possible for the user to enter duplicate names for tables. Take care to avoid this.

'Table name' is NOT used in check tracking so it will not appear on receipts or Table Info screens and so on. The 'ID' number is used for these purposes. However, it is much easier for users if 'Table name' is represented as the actual table 'ID' number unless the establishment really does use actual names for tables instead of numbers.

To change the 'Table name':

1. Click in the 'Table name' box on the table graphic.

2. Enter the name for the table and press Return or click somewhere on the background graphic.

3. Click 'Save' to save your changes.
