Ad hoc Labels are barcode labels that are stuck onto individual products, they are usually generated in conjunction with the In-house codes. The labels can be printed with or without the retail price. The advantage of labels without the price is when a price change occurs new labels do not need to be printed. In this case the price will be displayed on the shelf edge labels.
The Ad-Hoc labels can be set ether through the PLU creation Wizard or the Scanning PLU screen. Once the product has been flagged as AD-Hoc, to create labels depends on weather the stock module is being used.
With the stock module when an order is placed the number of labels generated is equal to the number of units purchased. E.G. 2 x buying unit of 24 tins would generated 48 individual labels.
Without the stock module go to the Ad-hoc label screen and enter the scan code number of labels required and this will be added to the file to be printed. This can also be used with the stock module.
When the labels are printed a confirmation message appears. When these are confirmed the labels will be removed from the print queue.
