This section describes the type of data that can be imported.

Departments

ID (Department Number) , Name, Group (If the group does not exist it will automatically be created.), Margin (This is used for profit calculation)

Products

The Import of product are used to create or update PLU items. Depending on the modules that have been subscribed to it will vary the fields available to import. The following three combinations will show differing fields that can be imported.

•Standard this is the Hospitality module, it is not possible to import and create stock items with this module set. Because of the large variations on how to Buy Count and sell items it is not avialbe to create the stock items as well. ID (PLU Item item) , Scancode, Department ID, Tax Code ID, POS name, Report name, Price, Manufacturer ID, Cost, Parameter ID, External ID Name 2, Name 3

•Retail This option will import all the fields as above but you cannot specify the PLU_ID it only allows the Barcode as the unique ID.

•Retail with Stock This follows the rules above as well as allowing the Case quanity and supplier references.

Prices

This option imports all prices levels as well as price level name. You must specify the Branch 'Reference Number'. The branch Reference number is setup on the Branch Screen.

Suppliers

This imports the suppliers Id names and additional information such as the address, phone numbers and contact details.

Manufacturers

This imports a manufacturers Id and name.

Stock Levels for Stock Take

This allows a stock take results to be imported straight into a stock take. The Stock area that is being updated must 'Frozen' see the stock take procedure for an explantion of how and why to freeze the stock position. The import file must contain the Outlet ID. Fields available PLU ID, scan code, Stock Level and outlet code.

Employees

This imports Employees for the time and attendance functionality. Fields available Name and Active Status.
