Add a new PLU and select Recipe Item; it will prompt for the default information such as name, price, tax code as well as item parameter and department. Unlike a stock item it will not ask for information about the buying and stock units. It will instead ask to link to an existing PLU with stock or ingredient items.
Examples of Ingredients are.
•Spirits with double one item with a quantity of 2
•Draught beers with a quantity of .50
•Food items with multiple ingredients such as 1 Pattie, 1 cheese slice and 1 burger bun
Select an ingredient by typing part of the name and then press the Search button or selecting a department and selecting from the list of items displayed. Select how the item size and the quantity of the item and press Add. The lists of recipe items are shown at the bottom of the screen. Press the Create button to complete the operation. At any time The recipe can be modified by adding or deleting ingredients or adjusting the quantity. The PLU can then be allocated to the keyboard in the normal manner.
